This year’s meeting will be held at the lovely Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center. The meeting will start at 1:00 pm Monday, February 23, and conclude around noon on Wednesday, February 25, 2009. The Auburn University Hotel and Dixon Conference Center has a block of rooms set aside at a special rate of $99 per night for attendants who reserve a room by January 25th. Call the reservation desk at 1-800-228-2876 and identify yourself as a participant of the Alabama Fisheries Association Meeting. Group reservation requests made after the cutoff date will be honored on a space available basis, so call early. This year’s meeting will have a special session on the history and heritage of the Alabama Fisheries Association to commemorate our 25 year anniversary. This will mean we will have several special speakers lined up to shed light on the early years of the AFA and fisheries science in our state.
